Saskatoon Commercial Sports Photographer – Liz

Hey Everyone!
Hmmm, despite my better judgement, here I am blogging, but take a peak at these pictures – who wouldn’t blog them?! I’ll try to promise that this will be my only “out of turn” blog post, and just start blogging from the shoots that haven’t made it up yet, but check these out!

Meet Liz, and crazy awesome and fun and ridiculously athletic person who is training for the 2012 Olympics for Hammer Throwing, and is very likely to be on the Canadian Team selected for the Francophone Games in Lebanon this September!  Yea!   We first went to the throwing pit to grab a few shots of her in action, and then we went downtown for a few more fun shots. At the end we had icecream at the Bus and then just as we were getting ready to leave we thought we’d grab a few night shots in the middle of the street infront of Midtown ;-)   Ah, the good life!

We had so much fun together and got some great stuff! Good Luck Liz with all your training and competitions – you’ll do amazing!

DAVID HILL, EAT YOUR HEART OUT, haha (hopefully some of the photographers reading get that reference)

July 24, 2009 - 10:31 pm Liz - Hey Justin, Thanks! They look great! I am so excited to see the rest of them! Just a small clarification: Sadly, they cut the age of the Canada Games team, so I am now too old to compete. BUT, I am anticipating the announcement of the Canadian Team selected for the Francophone Games in Lebanon this September. Hopefully I am among them! *Liz

July 25, 2009 - 10:40 am Justin - Hey Liz! Glad you really like them! I'm excited to show you the rest too - hopefully soon! Ah, sorry about the mixup with the Canada Games - thats too bad because I know you would have done awesome! And I bet you'll just rule at Lebanon! Talk to you soon!

July 25, 2009 - 11:10 am Whitney Taylor - These are awesome - perfect comp in the second photo! It makes me want to start using more artificial lighting outdoors! Looking forward to the next blog posts haha

July 25, 2009 - 11:25 am Justin - Hey Whitney! Thanks! Ya, it was kind of freaky at first because I don't use alot of artificial lighting out doors, but things just fell into place and we rocked those shots! Thank you High-Speed-Sync. Talk to you soon!

July 25, 2009 - 8:01 pm RZKY Photo - Hi! I followed the link from Strobist.com. Excellent shots! I especially love the first three!

July 25, 2009 - 9:38 pm Justin - Hi! Thanks a ton for the comments! Couldn't have done it without Strobist ;-)

July 26, 2009 - 12:16 am Dylan McAmmond - Nice! I like the second the most. Good post processing too... I'll be buying another strobe and RP asap for sure... P.S YOUR ATTEMPTS AT SEO ARE FUTILE! (just kidding, every little bit helps =))

July 26, 2009 - 1:22 am Justin - Hey Dylan! Thanks for the comments! HAH! Lets see you do THAT post processing in lightroom ;-) And just because you have google in a choke-hold with your SEO doesn't mean the rest of us struggling to get any listing whatsoever can't try ... ;-)

July 28, 2009 - 1:48 am Sheila - Great job on these!!

July 28, 2009 - 3:46 am Justin - Hey Sheila! Thanks again for your comment! I had a blast doing these and am super happy with how they turned out!

August 23, 2009 - 8:42 pm Peggy (Von Hagen) Proctor - Justin -- great job on these photos -- they really seem to capture the essence of Liz and her sport... plus the 'downtown' shots are really fun!

August 29, 2009 - 2:57 am Justin - Hey Peggy! Thank you again for your kind words for these pictures! I had an amazing time working with Liz - she truly is a great person to work with - and even I was a little surprised and just how great everything fell together so seamlessly! Kind of like your shoot, haha!
