Married: Dan and Christy Dupuis

Hey Everyone!
Ok, so yes I know this post is out of order, but I just had to share this wedding!  Dan and Christy are two of the most amazing people that I know, and I’m so honored to say that even though all of our dealings have more or less been business that we’ve become friends.  These two are such an amazing and foundational faith that is just so beautiful and it was so apparent that the very first moments together as a couple would be shared together in that faith.  The weather was awesome (even though it definitely got chilly towards the end), and we all just had an absolute blast together!  Thank you so much for allowing me to be there to capture the memories of this amazing day for you two and all those that know you!

This happens to be my hugest and longest panorama ever! Printed it would be about 1.5 feet by 9 feet! That church was just packed!

Oh, and Dan totally called me on this shot. He's like "isn't it pretty dark", and I just laughed what with my wide open lenses and basically infared camera. But ya, it was DARK! This shot, for all those camera nerds, was ISO 6400, F/2, 1/20th of a second. This picture was brigher than I could *see*! But God Save the Queen and the 5D Mark II, and the picture turned out awesome!

Thanks for reading, and congratulations once again Christy and Dan, and thank you!  Hopefully I’ll be posting more soon!

November 10, 2009 - 12:07 pm Christy Dupuis - YAY! JUSTIN!! YAY! YAY! Justin! Seriously, the best photographer we could have gone with. We had so much fun - from our engagement shoot to the day of the wedding. And, Justin you were so attentive to details which is evident in the photos - I cannot wait to see the rest of them! What I love the most about your work with us though, is how much you love your work and it is so clear when you see the quality of images and the beautiful moments that you capture - thank-you! And, thank-you for your kind words - you have truly become our friend!

November 11, 2009 - 9:21 pm Rob Magnell - Incredible, artistic and creative shots. All the angles, moments and feelings that your photos captured, speak volumes about the couple, their day and the love that surrounded them. Excellent work, both during and post-shoot. (I love that panorama) Simply marvelous work. Rob (the guy trying to explain how your diffuser worked)

November 11, 2009 - 9:26 pm Justin - Hey Rob! I really appreciate your kind words for both the pics themselves and their processing afterwards (it takes much longer than I like to admit, haha!). And Kudos on the great explanation of my bouncer diffuser :-)

November 15, 2009 - 2:00 pm Whitney Taylor - You must tell me where that last shot was taken... and it with a 24mm? I think the dancing one has to be my favourite.. I love how her dress looks. And that pano is ridiculous

November 15, 2009 - 2:07 pm Justin - Hey Whitney! Thanks - I always love hearing from you! The last shot was taken just on the outskirts of Martensville by some kind of rink or something. We basically just drove aorund until we spotted a nice field :-) And it was actually taken with the 135mm F/2, and the dancing shot with the 16-35 F/2.8 II. Looking forward to this epic post from your wedding this weekend!

November 15, 2009 - 5:18 pm Whitney Taylor - ....1/20th of a second with a 135?! You better have had a tripod lol. Yes prepare for the epic post. And a few other sessions too!

November 15, 2009 - 5:25 pm Justin - Pfhh, tripods are for the weak! Ask Chelsea or Dan - no tripods in sight. My bionic arms are just that cool ;-) Out of about the 20 pictures that I took of that pose I got one that wasn't blurry! But I got the shot and thats what counts!

November 19, 2009 - 9:56 am Kelly McLane - Wow, these are sooooooo gorgeous! Especially the one from above where Dan is spinning Christy... LOVE IT! Great work, Justin, and Dan and Christy, you guys are beautiful!!!

November 19, 2009 - 1:37 pm Justin - Hey Kelly! Thanks a ton! We had a great time, and it was great to see you guys there! Talk to you soon!
